I’m not a data guy, but I think data is a tool and it can also be a challenge. I’ve taken some classes on how to do this in the past, but the goal of this is to help me think about what I’m doing and the data I’m using.

I’m not a big fan of the term “business intelligence”. It’s often used as an excuse to write a lot of white papers (and my own personal blog).

So you could say that BI is a process of data integration. Its a tool to analyze and display data from systems and processes. It’s used for sales and marketing to identify how marketing can improve sales. A business intelligence tool is an indispensable tool for any organization, but you would be a fool to ignore it completely.

So the real difference is the tool used and the data it’s pulling data from. And that’s what we’re here to discuss today.

Any data can be pulled from disparate sources and used in a variety of different ways. So in the case of a business intelligence tool, you can pull information from a database, a spreadsheet, a web spreadsheet, or from a database of data. Then you can use that information to build a report. Then you can use that report to build a report. Then you can use that report to build an analysis model.
