On Wednesday, April 4th, I called fedex as part of my weekly order. During this call, I requested a delivery exception for a customer who was not able to make it to my home. When I called back to let them know I would be out of the office, I learned that this was a non-franchise business and they would not accept a business number. I was hoping to be able to get it in time to not have to pay a late fee.
this is one of those rare situation we have where our customers are out of our delivery area and no one can contact us. The delivery service is being shut down because the person who made the request for the delivery was unable to make it. We were unable to accept or process the request due to a self-reported illness or pregnancy. We have been unable to deliver this item because it is a food service exempt item.
