Since the 1990s, the business world has experienced a number of transformations. Some of these transformations have had a positive impact on the world, others have had a negative impact. The positive ones include the Internet, globalization, and increased competition. The negative ones include the shift from a planned economy to a global one, and the rise of new technology. The negative one is all of the above.

The first thing a company needs to do is hire an information systems expert to help them design and implement the systems that will make the company function better and achieve its business goals.
