This is true for everyone. The truth is that most business owners don’t know why their company is doing what it is currently doing. They try to get things done as efficiently as possible and end up doing less than they should. The truth is, the more you understand why your company is doing what it is doing, the greater your chance of success.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard this, but you may have heard this (as well as this) from someone on a leadership training course. If you’ve been to a leadership training course, you know that you often are asked to do things based on your “rational or logical” thinking.

The reason that I am able to speak with such authority about your business is because I am an expert in how you operate. However, I feel that a lot of people are not very good at that. They are more interested in emotion and instinct than understanding how your company works or what is going on in your business. As you go through your leadership training, you should have the knowledge and skills to be able to explain the reasoning behind your decisions.

The truth is that the whole idea that we are learning leadership skills that give us the ability of “rational or logical business processes”, has been a long, long time ago. I’m not saying that it doesn’t have its place. I’m saying that it is not the best way to learn leadership skills.

I was hoping to use it as a way to start a discussion on the topic and get some feedback. But it backfired big time because it seems as though what we’re talking about is simply using an online leadership training program to train people to be good leaders. And by good leaders, I mean people who are capable of making decisions and taking those decisions through the logical process of thinking and evaluating.
