The idea that society is constantly looking for the “right” thing to do for everyone is a difficult concept to wrap your head around. The idea that society can deem a particular action wrong or unethical is one of the most difficult concepts to wrap your head around. I know this because throughout my entire life I’ve seen this happen. When I was in middle school, I remember having a lot of anxiety about the way society viewed and treated different races and genders.

I know this because my mother and I would often run into and talk about this. She wanted to see me go to a black-face party, and I would often tell her that I had seen blackface before. I knew I had seen it on television, but I didn’t know how it was used to be portrayed.

That’s why I have no idea why we have such a serious problem with blackface. If people want to see me in blackface, they should just do it. I have no problem with those who choose to have or make blackface. I just feel that society should make this discussion a little less taboo.

In the early twentieth century, the government tried to stop African Americans from wearing blackface. But they ended up making things worse. One of the reasons blackface is so offensive is because it is so offensive to many of us. It is not just a form of black culture that we find offensive, it is our culture as a whole. In modern society, it is considered immoral to wear blackface.
