I’m going to tell you some stories about me that I think you’ll enjoy. These stories are not meant to hurt, but to enlighten. You may laugh or cry at some of these events.
I had a great time with the characters in Deathloop.
It’s funny how so many of those characters ended up in the game. We even got some awesome quotes from our heroes, so I thought I’d share some of them.
I can’t say with any confidence that I’ve even mentioned these stories about the characters. I did read some of your original reviews and I think that it’s safe to say it’s the best game I’ve ever played.
The story of the game picks up right where Deathloop left off. This is an amnesiac survivor of the Visionaries who was given their powers by one of their enemies, and then put into a time loop. He’s been locked away from his family, which leads to him being hunted by the Visionaries all the time. He’s being held prisoner in a room that he keeps locked from the outside with a chain.
I’m not going to tell you anything that you don’t already know the game. But the story is so incredibly satisfying and so incredibly unique that I could just go on and on about it. I think that the gameplay is good too, since the controls are tight. I also really like the visual design of the game. The story is well-paced with plenty of cutscenes, which is a good thing because it gives the player opportunities to have an emotional reaction to what’s happening.
I’m in the same boat as you. I also enjoy being in a game that’s not very linear (or at least not in a linear way), but I’ve always been a fan of games that just take you on a journey. Deathloop’s story is a journey of sorts, and I found myself more invested in the story and seeing what happens next.
Deathloop is based on an action RPG (an action/stealthy RTS game), which makes it a tough game to take on because you are playing it in a totally different genre. What I’ve found is that the action in the game is more about the fighting and the shooting than it is about the action itself. There is a lot of fighting, but no actual “action” to me.
I like the gameplay in Deathloop, but I think the action has to be more in-depth in order to really feel like a true adventure game. There are a hundred different ways to take out the Visionaries and it’s very difficult to feel like the story is progressing in the right direction without actually having to use all of them.
